Recent Updates
[05/17/2008] Just got some new green Zoas and a couple of Daisy Polyps and rearranged all the rock. I like the setup MUCH better now. It has more of the stacked pyramid look I wanted to go for.
[05/09/2008] The tank was running hot, so I added a couple of 60mm fans to the fan holes that were built into the hood. Before hand the hood was nearly too hot to even touch, afterwards it's nearly room temp.
[05/09/2008] Spent the day monitoring tank, rearranging rocks and corals and tweaking rear chambers, lighting and wiring.
[05/10/2008] Cleaned up the entire tank inside and out with water and vinegar. Tested pump and found out it was dead. Replace with pump on hand. Replaced lighting with existing lighting on hand. Setup tank during evening hours and swapped everything over from the old 10gal hex tank.
[05/09/2008] Tank dropped off at my house awaiting cleanup. it was in good shape but had tons of old coraline algae crusted all over the glass.
[03/25/2008] Setup my first saltwater tank tonight. Luckily I didn't have to cycle anything as all the water, sand and liverock came from my buddy's established tank. I simply packed it all up and moved it to my home and set it back up. Everything worked flawlessly and there were no losses.
