2003_10_25 Semi Accident
This
was an accident we witnessed as we were headed out off-roading tonight. It
seems this semi either ran the red light, or the van full of old people it
plowed into pulled out in front of it. We weren't sure what had happened as
we all noticed it just a split second after it had hit the van. The truck
came flying down the road, jumped into the grass median, drove across the
opposite side of the road and then slid to a stop in the median.
It was amazing nobody was killed.
There were TONS of oranges all over the road and cars
were driving all over them.
I was surprised to see how fast they acted out in Lake
County. In minutes, both lake county and Eustis cops had
showed up as well as several fire rescue vehicles, a fire truck and a couple
of ambulances.
